About The Traveling Vegetable

Over eight and a half years ago, I made the conscious decision to start eating less meat and more plants. It wasn't just healthier for me — our food systems, especially the meat industry, take a heavy toll on the planet.

What began as "cutting back" quietly became a full lifestyle. Meat disappeared from my plate one month at a time, then one season, then one year — and here we are, eight years later.

I love food and I love to travel, and being vegetarian doesn't mean missing out. If you're plant-curious, fully vegan, or just hungry for good recommendations, follow along for tips and tasty finds.
